... A Day's Work is full of meaning and symbolism. The writing is superb. Every line of dialogue works to advance the story. I also like the way that the stereotypes start to deteriorate between certain characters as the story progresses. ...

...This is simply an intense, desperate story that packs an emotional wallop in a short 17 minutes. It's a real treat."

  • We've won the BEST INTERNATIONAL FILM prize at the Short Shorts Festival in Japan.

  • We've Won the GOLD MEDAL, the TOP PRIZE for Narrative Filmmaking at the STUDENT ACADEMY AWARDS!

The award was presented by the INCREDIBLE Academy Nominated director Jason Reitman ("Juno") which was amazing, and it was doubly amazing to sit in a theater and watch the film with the entire Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences!!!

I'm honored beyond belief, and I thank everyone again for their support... we're also now qualified to go on and compete for the Best Live Action Short category of the bigger Academy Awards, and how cool would that be :)

  • This was one of the craziest and best nights of my life. We just finished with our New York Premiere at the Gen Arts Festival in New York. We were paired with a feature called "The Take" and attending our premiere among 500 other people were: John Leguizano, Rosie Perez, Ethan Hawke, Ally Sheedy, Rachel Dratch, and just a lot of other actors and artists I respect. It was, in a word, incredible. Below are some pictures from the event.

And, by the way, we won the Audience Award for Best Short Film, and the Stargazer Award for Best New Talent, going to Luis Chavez.
